In the distant future, there came about a world inhabited solely by men and marionettes, this world is called Terra 2. A world that is divided into six regions, one for each of the survivors of the crash that brought about the start of this populated planet. A ship called the Mesopatamia was sent out from earth to discover new and inhabitable worlds. As they were out in space the ship malfunctioned and six men made it to the escape pod. They knew with no women they couldn't colonize the planet so they created clones, but could only create males. So they created female substitutes called marionettes, they were emotionless dolls that only looked like females. Until one day Otaru Mamiya discovered, something hidden away in the basement of an old museum. A different type of marionette, a marionette carrying a 'maiden circuit' a circuit that gave life and personality to the marionette. This marionette named Lime was awoken , along with two more Cherry and Bloodberry. Could these marionettes have a special purpose? Could the reason they have maiden circuits directly relate to fate of the world?
